Un millonario finlandés recibe una multa por exceso de velocidad de 111.888€

Realmente es un caso de mala suerte, o mala leche según el adinerado finlandés Jari Bär. Este empresario fundó hace bastantes años una empresa de producción de mobiliario de oficina llamada Finnritilä. El pasado año 2007 vendió su participación en la sociedad por unos enormes 3.360.000€, fruto del crecimiento de la entidad y el buen hacer en su gestión. Nada extraño hasta aquí, y tampoco hay nada fuera de lo habitual en la multa que un radar le impuso porcircular a 82 km/h en una zona limitada a 60 km/h.
Lo que ya no es habitual es que el importe de la multa a pagar que le llegó a su casa un tiempo después fue de unos mareantes 111.888€. Si hubiera circulado a 80 km/h la multa habría sido de 115€, pero esos 2 km/h extra le han costado el equivalente a un Porsche 911 GT3. La explicación es que a partir de cierto nivel el importe a pagar de las multas se calcula a partir de los ingresos diarios del sancionado, ese exceso de 2 km/h corresponde a 12 días de salario. Si ganasemos 50€ al día deberíamos pagar 600€ de multa.
El problema es que el salario de Jari – periodificado al día – asciendió a más de 9.300€ en dicho periodo, la razón de que al final hubiese de pagar semejante cantidad de dinero. El finlandés está indignado ya que esos 9.300€ correspondieron a un periodo de su vida muy puntual y ahora ni de lejos gana ese dinero al día. Al igual que en muchas partes de Europa, lassanciones proporcionales – en función de la renta del individuo – afectan de manera másdolorosa a aquellos con alto poder adquisitivo.
Creo que a partir de ahora vigilará mucho la velocidad a la que circula, la prespectiva de que te llegue a casa una multa por medio millón de euros no es alentadora.
